Life on Croucher's Island

Life on Croucher's Island

Maggie Beatrice Slauenwhite married Wentworth Willis Boutilier on April 13, 1918, only a few days before he left to fight in World War I.

He returned home in 1919 and in 1922 he took the job of lighthouse keeper on Croucher's Island in Saint Margaret's Bay. They would live on the island until 1944.

This is a chronicle of their lives during that period, as written by Maggie from her memory of the events.
