A History of the Victoria General Hospital School of Nursing, 1891-1995 This book depicts 104 years of nursing at the VG and is a composite of interviews, letters, annual reports and archival material. In many cases the nurses tell their own stories. The author — a January 1963 graduate of the Victoria General Hospital School of Nursing in Halifax, Nova Scotia — has interviewed many of the over 5,000 graduates. Their stories are of hard work, long hours of study, compassion for their patients and their own lasting friendships.
